I think we have all been through this battle. Right? Walking the floorboards or patting their little back to try and get them to settle down for a nap. But did you realize just how much time you are spending doing it?
A survey conducted by Sleep Junkie of 500 UK and 500 US parents concluded that new parents lose around 5 hours and 25 minutes a day trying to get their child to sleep! That’s over 1900 hours a year.
That number translates into the equivalent of 82 days a year just trying to get your child to sleep!
Parents admit to trying everything from feeding their child, reading to them, walking or driving with their child to try and get them to fall asleep.
Parents spend 41 minutes each day driving around on average, in the hopes of getting their little ones to sleep – this is the equivalent of driving 20 miles each day.
Parents also said they spent roughly 1 hour 21 minutes a day walking with their child to put them to sleep, which is the equivalent of walking 4.23 miles.
