Simple Meatball Sub
A classic fast food meal you can make from home without all the extra calories. A quick-and-easy recipe that will be a hit with the whole family.

Ingredients
- 0.375 lb lean ground beef
- 1/4 green onion finely diced
- 1/2 tsp dried Italian herbs
- salt
- pepper
- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 whole grain long bun
- 1 tbs crushed tomatoes, canned
- 1 tbs cheddar cheese, reduced-fat, grated

Instructions
- Combine ground beef with green onion, dried herbs and season with salt and pepper. Roll into three meatballs per serving.
- Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through.
- Preheat oven broiler to high.
- Slice the bread roll down the middle but donโt cut all the way through.
- Add the meatballs to the roll, top with crushed tomato and sprinkle over the cheese.
- Place under the broiler for 3-5 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
- Serve immediately.
