"It’s easy to forget where I started from.. Sometimes it’s far from my mind, especially as I have overcome some seemingly insurmountable obstacles!⁠
I didn’t expect today's reaction.⁠
I didn’t see it coming.⁠
I wasn’t prepared..⁠
I created this collage, and then cried… Face in hands sobbing kind of cry!⁠
Why? Because the weight of what I felt in that first photo hit me! It all came flooding back, but not entirely just the feelings of the physical weight, but also the emotional weight I was carrying. The sluggishness I felt, the heaviness that I was carrying deep in my heart. The guilt. The shame. The sadness. It was there.. it was looming and I didn’t quite know how to shift it, or if I ever could!⁠

Beginning this journey showed me that I CAN do hard things, it taught me that I am still capable of setting goals, it taught me that I am, and always will be a unique individual and not ‘just’ a Mom and wife. I am important, and my health is important, my entire well-being is important.. and I’m so grateful that The Healthy Mommy helped me to see that!" ⁠
