48-year-old mom Christine Mazany proves age is no barrier when it comes to turning your life and health around.
Not only has she overcome ongoing joint pain and fatigue, but she has also gained energy levels she never thought would be possible for a mom in her late 40’s.
And after losing 38 lbs she is the same weight as she was when she was 21 years old. Wow! She shares the secret of her new improved health and the BIG event she is currently training for.
Christine was asked by The Healthy Mommy team to be one of the six Healthy Mommy moms to take part in The Healthy Mommy’s EPIC Body Confidence photo shoot. She says she loved it!
Suffering joint and back pain
Prior to joining The Healthy Mommy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenges two years ago, Christine weighed 164 pounds was always tired, and suffered constant back and joint pain.
She says “I didn’t like the way I felt. I was always tired and never wanted to exercise.”
Joining The Healthy Mommy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge
After finding out about The Healthy Mommy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge through a good friend Christine signed up and hasn’t looked back.
Although the start of her Healthy Mommy journey was a little rocky due to Christine wanting immediate results she soon realized that this wasn’t another quick fix diet.
Christine says “The Healthy Mommy has helped me see that losing weight isn’t a diet. It’s not just food, it’s a lifestyle change. It is about enjoying the foods in the right portions but made with healthier ingredients.”
“I love that you don’t need to go without any food group. You can have that same food just made healthier with a better way of making it.
I’ve learned to keep it simple and make meals for more than one night which cuts down on food costs as I don’t have to buy so much of all different things. And making snacks in advance and freezing them.

Christine loves the ability to search the Challenge App via food that she has in her pantry and immediately be given a list of recommended recipes.
She says, “I am able to find many choices that are waiting for me right in the pantry with the food I already have. It doesn’t have to be the most extravagant meal, basic meals can be healthy.”
No need for expensive equipment
With The Healthy Mommy App containing many exercise videos, Christine says “Anyone can do this, you don’t need any expensive equipment. It’s all in The Healthy Mommy App.”
Weight loss results – 38 lbs
Christine has lost 38 lbs (down from 164 lbs to 126 lbs) in 2 years.
Dress size 14 down to a size 6-8
She says “Not only have I lost 38 lbs I have gained self-confidence and energy levels I never thought were possible in my late 40’s.”
Christine now exercises 5 days a week incorporating walking, running, HIIT and Tabata classes and says she loves it. So much so that she is now training to do the Las Vegas night run with her daughter from New Zealand. Something she says “we both would never have dreamed of doing, let alone together, but now it is a reality.”
“I am now the fittest I have ever been. I was this weight when I was 21 but I definitely was not this confident, fit or healthy. No more back and joint pain.”
48 and feeling fabulous
Now at 48 and feeling fabulous she says The Healthy Mommy has changed not just her life, but her whole family’s life.
In addition to Christine’s weight loss, her husband has lost 14 lbs and her adult daughter has lost 30 lbs by making great food and exercise choices which Christine says is a big win in her books!
