This mom lost a staggering 17lbs in 6 months and wow!

Mom Robyn, 35, struggled with her weight for 12 months after the birth of her second child but after she found The Healthy Mommy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge the weight just came off. Six months later and she has lost an amazing 17 lbs which is almost 50% of her 40 lbs goal which she hopes to hit by then end of the year.

Feeling happy to find a program that is getting her results and surprised at the speed of the results. Robyn was even more excited about being invited to take part in The Healthy Mommy Body Confidence photo shoot in New York as part of world Healthy Mommy month she said it was something she never dreamed would happen.

She shares her amazing weight loss success story below.


A difficult pregnancy and doctor-ordered bed rest led mom Robyn to gain over 50 lbs with her second pregnancy.

Robyn breastfed for a year afterward and was convinced that once she was done with nursing the weight would just fall off, just like it had with her previous pregnancy. But she wasn’t so lucky.

She says “having to buy clothes in double digit sizes after my daughter was born was horrible. I literally fell into a depression and I didn’t understand that despite breastfeeding, my weight wasn’t falling off as it had after having my first child.”

Ready to make a change

Robyn was determined to set a good example to her daughters and show them that she could be a working mom and still make time for her own health and wellness but nothing seemed to work.

Set on making 2019 her year for change she started doing weight based workouts but says her body couldn’t keep up. She was left sore, and extremely exhausted. Then she opted for a home delivery meal service for herself but was overwhelmed by the planning and preparation that was involved in preparing meals for the rest of her family.

Joining The Healthy Mommy

Shortly afterwards Robyn was introduced to the UK Healthy Mommy 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge and instantly loved how family friendly the meals where. Now she is a member and avid user of The Healthy Mommy USA 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge App.

“The Challenge App has changed my life!”

Back when Robyn was pregnant with her first child, she says she was so overwhelmed with the idea of grocery shopping that she handed off the task to her husband.

She says “I just couldn’t imagine having to plan the meals, figure out what we needed and then buy all the items.”

Her husband kindly took up the task of grocery shopping but it meant the family ended up eating the same 8-10 meals on repeat.

Since joining The Healthy Mommy she says “the App has CHANGED my life.

I love the ease of picking/planning all of our meals by serving size. Then I am able to print a grocery list and get to the store.

It helps me stay under budget as I only buy what’s on the list, so it’s been worth every cent to me.”


And after FIVE years of avoiding the grocery store, Robyn now embraces the weekly grocery shop AND takes her kids with her.

“The Challenge App is making me want to stay consistent – checking off my workout, tracking my food, my water and trying out new recipes!”

As a busy working mom, Robyn says, “I am forever grateful for the ease and organization this provides for me and my family.”

Mexican Lasagna

Weight loss results – 17 lbs in 6 months

In addition to the benefits of helping Robyn budget and plan her shopping, she has lost 17 lbs in just under 6 months (down from 200 lbs to 183 lbs).

Not only is Robyn feeling more energized to keep up with her kids, but she also says “I am feeling better, lighter and even see my skin looking healthier.”

Robyn’s 3 tips for weight loss

Robyn shares her top 3 tips to help moms on their weight loss journey below:

  • Be consistent
  • Schedule your workouts like a meeting you can’t miss. Even on a rough day, a 10-minute walk is better than nothing!
  • Stop drinking soda. I feel less bloated and I am no longer craving soda!

She says “I am a real working mom, with a husband, 2 kids, and a dog! I am so excited to see my progress and how I change for the better in the coming months. And I feel very empowered to help as many moms on their journey as possible.”
